Join Missouri State Parks and Boone Electric Cooperative for the eleventh annual Katy Trail Fall Colors Tram Tours on Wednesday and Thursday, Oct. 22nd & 23rd 2025. The two-hour long round-trip tours will take visitors on the Katy Trail between Rocheport and McBaine in the comfort of an open-air tram coach. An interpretive guide with a PA system will provide a presentation on the history of the Katy Trail, and commentary on the local natural and cultural history along the trail. Free pre-registration is required with a suggested donation of $5 for adults and $3 for children ages 12 and under. Tours will be offered at 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m each day, departing from the Rocheport Trailhead. Each tour includes six trams with each tram providing seating for 20 people. Registration opens on Tuesday, September 2rd. Reservations may be made over the phone by calling the Katy Trail State Park office at 573-449-7402 or online at MoParks.com. In the event of inclement weather, the tours will be canceled. Dates: Wednesday October 22nd and Thursday October 23rd Tour Times: 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. and 1:30-3:30 p.m. each day Location: Tours begin at the Rocheport and make a round trip to McBaine.
