Join Missouri State Parks and Boone Electric Cooperative for the twelfth annual Katy Trail Fall Colors Tram Tours on Wednesday and Thursday, Oct. 28th and 29th 2026. The two-hour long round-trip tours will take visitors on the Katy Trail between Rocheport and McBaine in the comfort of an open-air tram coach. An interpretive guide with a PA system will provide a presentation on the history of the Katy Trail, and commentary on the local natural and cultural history along the trail. Pre-registration is required with a $5 suggested donation. Tours will be offered at 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m each day, departing from the Rocheport Trailhead. Each tour includes six trams with each tram providing seating for 20 people. Registration opens on Tuesday, September 1st. Reservations may be made over the phone by calling the Katy Trail State Park office at 573-449-7402 or online at MoParks.com. In the event of inclement weather, the tours will be canceled and refunds will be issued. Dates: Wednesday and Thursday, Oct. 28th and 29th, 2026 Tour Times: 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. and 1:30-3:30 p.m. each day Location: Tours begin at the Rocheport Trail Head and make a round trip to the McBaine Trail Head.
