First Day Hike at St. Joe State Park - First Day Hike at St. Joe State Park

The public is invited to celebrate the first day of the year by mixing mine history with a walk in the woods. We will explore the remains of old lead mine structures in the park near the historic Elvins community. Meet at the Harris Branch trailhead parking lot on Pimville Road, 1 mile south of Highway 32, at 10 a.m. Dress for the weather & wear sturdy shoes. The hike will be approx 3 miles, consisting of paved trail, dirt road, & woods. Hot chocolate will be served at the park office afterward.
