FIRST DAY HIKE - ROCK BRIDGE- GANS CREEK - Canyon, Caves & History - Gans Creek Wild Area

Enjoy the challenge of rugged terrain to get to a shelter cave on a hillside and to go up a steep dry rocky creek valley known as “the Canyon.” See ruins of the Reyburn homestead of circa 1811 and hear readings from a 1891 diary that illustrate what life was like back then. Part of this hike will be off-trail and strenuous, the other part will be on trails, some of which are on bluffs that overlook Gans Creek (total of 2 miles). Limited to those of ages 8 and up. No dogs. Not stroller accessible.

Meet at the Devil's Ice Box Parking Lot on the east side. Please check in with the guide. Call 573-449-7400 to cancel.
