Cuivre River State Park First Day Hike - Cuivre River State Park 1st Day Hike

Start off the new year with a 1.5 mile hike on the Hamilton Hollow Trail. We will meet at the trailhead near the CCC Stone Shelter ("CCC Stone Shelter and Picnic Area" in Google Maps) at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan 1. The trail is moderate in difficulty and will include a 0.6 mile roundtrip detour to view a spring. Expect to take a 1.5 hours to complete the hike. This event is free, open to the public, and suitable for all ages. Pets are welcome but must remain on leash no longer than 10 feet at all times. Cancelled if there is rain or lightning. In the event of a cancellation, a notice will be posted on the park's Facebook page and the Park and Site Status Map.
