First Day Hike - Katy Trail State Park - First Day Hike - Katy Trail

Celebrate January 1, 2025 by taking a guided hike of a section of the Rock Island Trail State Park with the Park Superintendent. The 1-mile hike will allow participants to enjoy a partial section of the Rock Island Trail and Katy Trail in Windsor. At 2:00 pm participants will depart from Windsor's Katy Trail trail head. GPS coordinates for the trail head: 38.535939, -93.524355. The degree of difficulty will be easy. You can bring your pet, but make sure you have a leash. Children under the age of 12 need a parent or guardian. You can enjoy cold weather hiking as long as you are prepared: -Wear a hat, dress in layers, cover your skin, bring a snack and keep your water warm, wear sunscreen, and add heat with hand and toe warmers.
