Welcome Back !
This reflects the system time which determines when inventory becomes available.
This 2 mile hike will go at a leisurely pace to look for birds and the terrain is relatively flat making it a fairly easy hike. This area provides views of the prairie restoration, open skies and sinkholes. Members of the Columbia Audubon Society are hosting and leading this hike with the plan to look in the mixed grassland, shrub, and forest-edge habitats for sparrows, raptors, and any other fauna or flora of interest. They will return to the parking lot by dusk for an optional extra half-hour of watching/listening for a last pulse of daytime bird activity and possible evening birds (like owls). Watch the sun go down on the first day of the New Year. For ages 8 and up. No dogs please. Dress for the weather and wear shoes for muddy/snowy conditions. Bring water to drink. There is no restroom available. Free, but space is limited and reservations are required. Park at Grassland Trailhead with overflow parking alongside Rock Bridge Lane (wide gravel road).
Sorry, there are no seats available for this activity.
